Speed might not look that spectacular but the most part of the road is really bad and dangerous, potholes, very rough road, no visibility of what's coming, wandering dogs playing on the road. On the very last part the road is better but a car didn't let me pass to get full speed.

  • What sort of speeds would you achieve on a road bike down this route, and could you have reached 70MPH?

  • @Keyboardbeatz

on this road definitevely not, you can't reach that kind of speed, too curvy , narrow, no visibility and very bad pavement. But generally speaking when the road is good on the downhill with a bent like this one you pass DF like if they were road signs.

  • Very nice video. I feel like I'm on the bike myself. What's your top speed on the bike in mph? I recently bought a Baron and have been seriously disappointed that the bike is virtually unmanageable above around 40 mph. Have you found it the same or is it just me?

  • @red1biker Thanks for the appreciation. The Highest speed I achieved is 55MPH. But I currently hit the 50MPH. The Baron is designed with little trail so that makes it easy to handle at low speed but not so easy to handle at high speed where it tends to under-steer. The solution is to use your body weight when you corner at speed, just like on a motorbike, don't play with the tiller, and look on my video how I use my legs to make that bike going where I want it to go.

  • @red1biker

Believe me a Baron can handle high speed, but it takes some time to understand how it works

  • Very nice ride... Enjoyed riding down there with you. Great to share that.

I am curious though, when you were following that car I couldn't see any detail of the registration plate. Is that by default of You Tube? Is the original video much better than what we see on You Tube?

Still, great video quality compared to most.

    Rick.

Thanks for the appreciation, so I checked on my own record in full screen and even though I can't read the ID number of the car so it is not Youtube, well the vibration of the road and it is still too small even with this resolution also I think the light started to be border line.

  • @red1biker The baron is available with 2 carbon forks. One has 40mm of rake, the other 20mm. If you've got the 40mm one, that might be too little trail for you.

  • @dou40006 So do you regularly exceed 50 MPH and feel comfortable doing it? I do notice you're steering a lot with your legs. You picked a beautiful time to ride. Was is morning or evening?
