Il Soo Sik Dae Ryun is one-step sparring. Begin in Jhoon Bee or ready stance. Prepare with the right hand underneath. Step 45 degrees to the left into a forward stance. Simultaneously execute a reverse right knife hand block (open hand check). Shift the weight of the body into the opposite direction, executing a left hand reverse middle punch. Shift to the opposite direction while executing a right hand high punch. Slide the right foot toward the left, and then execute a left foot turn kick. Step back and Ba Ro (return to ready stance). With a partner, the junior side will challenge by stepping back with the right leg into a front stance. When the defender is ready he will signal the challenger to begin. The challenger will initiate a right hand high punch and hold that position. The defender will execute E Bon. Both will then Ba Ro together.
