  • It is worth pointing out that this was historic as well, the first ever international television broadcast.

  • I am not a Christian, however, I first became acquainted with "A Mighty Fortress" at the funeral of Hubert Humphrey. This hymn has to be the most beautiful religious music ever written!

  • A mighty fortress is our God, a tower of strength ne'er failing.

A helper mighty is our God, o'er ills of life prevailing.

He overcometh all. He saveth from the fall.

His might and power are great. He all things did create.

    And he shall reign forevermore.

  • @JaredDLarsen I love it too, no one sings it like this choir. It's Lutheran and sung on reformation Sunday among other times in the Lutheran Church. Martin Luther wrote it.

  • This video reminds me of when the United States was once PROTESTANT AMERICA. Now the majority of Supreme Court justices are Catholic and American protestants are working in blindness. They do not see that if a Protestant government sacrifices the principles that have made them a free, independent nation, and through legislation brings into the Constitution, principles that will propagate papal falsehood and papal delusion, they are plunging into the Roman horrors of the Dark Ages.

  • Beautiful singing as always from the MTC.

  • Someone help! Who is the doing the narrating on this video? Is it Roger Mudd?

  • @panjaltx From the Lutheran hymnal...Martin Luther. I know because that's my church.
