Hi, can you please tell me what the cost of this is. More specifically, say I only paid the $3 for the app....do I have to pay $3 a month, or is it always free after that with updates? I know that you have to pay a yearly cost of like $25 for voice guidance, but if I didn't need the voice, do I still have to pay some kinds of fees after buying the app? @damon323 Thank you for your note. MotionX-GPS Drive is $0.99 to download ($2.99 for HD version), and all of the core functionality may be used with no additional cost. This includes all components of search, routing information, and maps. New users also get a free 30 day trial of real-time routing with live voice guidance.

To continue using live voice guidance beyond the 30-day trial period, you may choose between a 30-day package for $2.99 or a 1-year package for $24.99.

Is this a data hog? I only have the 200mb package for my iphone 4

@saber53 Data use depends on length of trip, since maps are downloaded over the network. For example a 43 mile trip from Santa Cruz to Monterey (California) requires about 7 MB of data. The data density also highly depends on location (e.g. city vs. rural)...

You do have the option of pre-caching maps for a given route by simulating the trip using Wifi beforehand.

@RayMitchum3 You are using the manual mode of operation. Select "Get Directions with Live Voice Guidance" from the Navigation Options screen for real-time turn by turn directions. This requires an active live voice guidance package - after your 30 day trial you can purchase for $2.99/30 days or $19.99/1 year.

I have a problem with the program I can't figure out! When navigating the the program doesn't count down to the next turn. I see in your tutorial that the bar on the left lower side of your screen fills in with yellow as the turn approches; while mine has and up and down arrow there that only allows you to cycle through the list of turns for the trip. How do I change the settings to get it to "countdown" until the next turn?
