Best vocals on a blake cover I've seen, not to mention the most orignal rendition. Others can play blake pretty darn good but no decent vocals or originality. I knew if I searched long enough I would find something out of this world.

hey what does "tuned a half step down" mean? i know open D tuning, but i never understood what that meant

it means that I'm in fact in C# tuning (a half step lower than D) but with the same intervals as in open D. It's accepted to say it like that as it's less confusing to say I'm in open C# tuning (then you could think I'm in open C tuning a half step up but open C tuning has different intervals than open D so that would not be correct). Leadbellly for example tuned his 12-string when in standard tuning 4 steps down. This means his thin E string is in C when played open.
