I wouldn't really call it "mania", but some of the souveniers looked kind of .... uhh. The burning statue thing looked kind of cool, makes Obama look like he's the president of Hell.

I heard in the news this morning that the Chinese government has banned the sale of those Oba-Mao T-Shirts. Not sure whether they thought it disrespectful of Mao, or Obama, but the guys in power didn't like it.
