Rupert Murdoch wants "amnesty" for millions of illegal aliens. On Thursday, appearing before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Murdoch said he supports amnesty for "law abiding" illegal immigrants. He did not explain how millions of people who have crossed the border and entered the country illegally may be considered "law abiding."

As should be expected, Murdoch's comments on illegal immigration became part of the endless false right-left paradigm distraction as MSNBC's Keith Olbermann lambasted Murdoch's employees for opposing illegal immigration.

Murdoch said legalizing illegals will grow the nation's tax base. He declined to point out that illegals have instead imposed a net deficit on federal and local governments.

In 2002 alone, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household. Illegals are a drain on Medicaid, food assistance programs such as food stamps, the federal prison and court systems, and federal aid to schools. CIS notes that although legalization would increase average tax payments by 77 percent, average costs would rise by 118 percent.

"I joined Mayor [Michael] Bloomberg in organizing the Partnership for a New American Economy because I believe that all Americans should have a vital interest in fixing our broken immigration system so we can continue to compete in the 21st century global economy," Murdoch said.

In other words, legalizing a massive influx of illegal immigrants taking jobs away from legal Americans and imposing a financial a social burden on the federal government and the states is part of the globalization process, according to Murdoch.

"Our system of immigration, I think it fair to say, is broken," Bloomberg testified. "I think it's undermining our economy, it is slowing our recovery, and it really is hurting millions of Americans. And we just have to fix it." He went on to say that legalizing nearly 40 million illegals "will strengthen our economy," an assertion at odds with reality.

Murdoch said following the law and securing the border is fiscally unfeasible. "It is nonsense to talk of expelling 12 million people," testified Murdoch. "Not only is it impractical, it is cost prohibitive."

According to Californians for Population Stabilization, the actual number of illegal immigrants in the United States is closer to 40 million. However, according to James Walsh, the former associate general counsel to the INS, there is no accurate way to come up with a reliable figure. "No exact head count exists for the ghost population of illegal aliens.... Guessing the number is like playing the lottery."

Walsh arrives at the figure of 38 million illegals in the country by calculating "a conservative annual rate of entry (allowing for deaths and returns to their homeland) of three illegal aliens entering the United States for each one apprehended."

"Official estimates are somewhat suspect and may represent significant undercounts, as they are produced by the very entity responsible for the tidal wave of illegal aliens entering our nation," explains Fred Elbel, a computer specialist from Colorado who is an expert in methodologies and data analysis. "Based on [my] analysis... it is likely that up to 20 million illegal aliens presently reside in the United States, with up to 12,000 additional illegal aliens entering every day."

  • Rupert Murdoch is a neocon zionist, we all know that but people have intrinsic and Inalienable rights. Therefore legal mexicans, hispanics, latino etc means they pay taxes and that resolves the problem of the, i'm better than you mob argument. The fact is we are all in the same boat, equal, if people want to see it that way. Don't fight against desperate people trying to survive. Instead argue against the greed of NATO and the neocons with their Resource wars and Genocide on the Middle East.

  • Well the terrorists are the neocons so at least they won't have any guns right? Wrong!

  • The comparison between illegal immigrants to child molesters is typical of Fox News and these fools!

  • its an oxymoron, theyre illegal immigrants, they can't be law abiding, they already broke the law by immigrating there.

  • @optasabule2 no, he just tells it like it is, and how it is being seen.

  • Ok, lets tear this down. How can they be "Law-abiding" (snickering) Illegal Immigrants (turn to full blown laughter). Uh ok, what part are we missing here. This is an Irony. How can they be "Law-abiding" if they already broke a law just by being Illegal in this country. Hey.... Um..... isn't there something wrong here people.

  • @TravisConway1Democracy was created by the Zionists because then their media empire chooses your elected party for you, subliminally. So you don’t have to think too much about who’s going to win or lose yourself. That is why the Zionists want to install puppet governments in the Middle East and steal their resources, so the media can also choose which party will win and therefore share the resources of that country with the zionbanksters. So democracy was not the greatest achievement for slaves.

  • @Publik Just keep in mind just as many roughly 110 million people voted in the election. Just as many people voted for McCain. Many people didnt vote because neither candidate represented them. You cannot fault the American people, we ousted the deadbeat majority of democrats (in hopes that fresh faces will represent the majority). An overwhelming amount want the war to end - just as many want to enforce our border laws. The problem is the elected reps not American citizens.

  • @TravisConway1 Google: Unknown News Casualties. These are the results on that site: Total injured in Afghanistan 48,644, Total injured in Iraq 1,673,138. Total killed in Afghanistan 19,180. Total killed in Iraq 890,501.

What about their dreams? How come America and Canada are illegally committing genocide in the Middle East? Another American dream? You see your claim people are illegal when your leaders are crushing people at home and in the Middle East is a contradiction in terms.

  • @TravisConway1 Rupert Murdoch is a neocon zionist: Google: Foxaganda. No one is illegal unless you put your hand up first. The USA let the zionists neocons in the door and that diluted the American imperialists dream after they slaughtered the indigenous Indian tribes who used to live there. What makes you so important champ that you can claim others don't have legal status? If everyone has legal status according to you then No One is Illegal. I remove your legal status because you're stupid?

  • @Publik Rupert is an aussie. An illegal loving globalist. Another scumbag that enjoys the cheap labor. Globalist figure is they dilute the american dream with illegals it will be able to create their North American Union. With 30M illegals in the voting booth they would be more than happy to remove the borders and throw America and Canada into the turd world toilet.

  • Murdoch is neocon or conservative. That argument is dead.
