  • OK, that has to be the coolest tone ever! Are the markings on the turntable intended as a strobe for speed adjustment?

  • Thanks! I reworked the speakers just for YouTube.

  • awesome! finally got the auto-shutoff to work. whats the status on the other magnavox?

  • I was holding up fixing it to record more Little Wonders (5 inch 78 RPM's) But they haven't arrived. I'm thinking I'll give it another week or so.

  • im 21 years old, so i wasnt alive during the time this music was made, but i must say this is truly beautiful and i wish there was more like this in modern day. thanks so much for the upload!

  • I just noticed a cameo appearance by one almost like it (no raised speaker or concentric knob set). If you type 'un alone' into the YouTube search window and click the top video (the one with the red Cadillac convertable), it shows up around 2:13.

  • Whatever you did it worked; your videos sound much better than most of the speaker2mike recordings on YouTube. I've always loved the way those Collero changers reach out to touch the edge of the record, but I've seen them get stuck in that position; I think it was the aluminum cam gear. Have you ever run into this? Can it be fixed without replacing the cam?

  • I love this first record, can't put my finger on the band though, I'll research it. It's great what you are doing; I discovered vinyl records just like this - here - only it was 40 years ago. - Keep up the good work!

  • I really like that magnavox you got there. I have a 1962 Magnavox Stereo Console, and it's the best system I ever had!

  • Grady on guitar...unmistakable!

  • Nice turntable, I don't have the 1962 Magnavox tube record changer the one damusician has, I have a GemSound BJL-1150 DJ turntable.

As for the Disneyland albums, they should play that too. I have the 1957 "Fantasia" LP which was 3 records, but it does fit on an old Magnavox record changer if you stack three records, you can get side 1, and when the record end, the record also drop for side 2, and then side 3. Turn those over and drop sides 4, 5, and 6. This is what you'll be missing on.

  • lol! actually itz not itz only decoration, but it seems that way in the vid. i have that same changer in my 1962 magnavox portable.
