Powerhouse is one of the leading companies in the Dutch energy market -- a position it has earned by offering a fully automated commercial platform for buying and selling electricity. This allows the various electricity markets and commercial parties to be reached directly by companies wishing to buy and sell their electricity as economically and efficiently as possible.

In real terms, this means that Powerhouse enables the owners of decentralised generating capacities (combined heating and power and emergency power installations) and companies with a (flexible) electricity requirement to trade directly on the Dutch electricity markets and with well-established trading partners. Powerhouse achieves this by using a very advanced IT trading platform which sells or buys in the generated or required electricity on an hourly/quarterly basis.
