During the markup of the new FISA legislation regarding surveillance, Chairman Jerrold Nadler of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties speaks against a Republican amendment granting retroactive immunity to telecommunications companies that cooperated with President Bush's legally dubious warrantless wiretapping. The amendment was defeated.
