Blacklight Retribution [Commentary] Beta Gameplay Review

Another look at this game now that I have more time spent on it. A much better look in my opinion as far as both analysis and gameplay go. I clear up some ignorant statements and probably make some new ones :D

Star, I don't know if you played Tango Down, but the worst thing about it was symmetrical maps that had each team spawning on either side of the map. This made spawn camping extremely popular, and the maps feel much smaller then they aught to. How is the map design in Retribution, in your opinion?

@masonmjames I remember in an interview them specifically saying fixing the spawn issues was a big deal to them, though I never played tango down. Map design feels a little bit like CoD in that its just non-symmetrical random areas, though spawning and immediately getting shot like in CoD rarely seems to happen. Only complaint on map design is that there are some severe choke points and you play every gametype on every map. Not every map is designed for those gametypes, so it can be wonky
