Nice vids. One question- can the LMF II make a decent spark if you strike a flint with it?

@john22112 , long as you use the blade edge, or if you remove some of the coating on the spine.

for carving, i use my SOG seal revolver or sometimes my victorianox swiss army knife.

@Equip2Endure thanks for your response. after going to live off the land, i love it. i went out and bought a Becker bk2, and i love it. whenever i go camping with my dad, and he has trouble splitting knots with his maul, i just baton. with my bk2 that 1/4 inch blade is awesome.
