Marana Bank Robbery 12/23/2010

MARANA - Marana Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect who ran on foot into the desert after a brief chase.

According to a Marana police spokesperson they got a call about a bank robbery at the Chase bank near N Thornydale Rd and W Tangerine Rd. A Marana PD officer was near by and pulled into the bank parking lot as the suspect ran out. Shots were fired but it is unclear who fired the shots. No one was injured and the suspect got into a waiting car with a driver.

The car sped off but crashed behind a nearby Circle K. The driver was hurt and taken into custody, but the bank robbery suspect ran into the desert. Police are still looking for him at this time. ( - Story by KVOA - VIDEO Andru Valpy)
