@aytches You not believing something is in itself is a belief. Just as you answering "nothing" to the question "What have you done today?" is doing something.

@gklr sorry mate i got mixed up ment to comment on the vidio before yours that had this one on the side bar

@gklr ok the last bit was a joke (no facts to hold it up), but what i would like to know is what difference would it make to our stance, i've had 40 years living in england, when i was growing up we had christianity in our schools and on tv all day on sunday ( we only had 3 channels ) and it did not show me any thing i could hold as true, never mind church and the fact we have a national religion, so for argument say you are right whats the difference, a belief / not belief, i still say no god

if atheism is a belief or not is only detracting from what we are saying and that is you have not gave us any reason to follow your or any gods, trying to hide the failings in what you believe by misinterpreting a word will not hide that fact
and if atheism is a belief then its the fastest growing faith system in the world which should get you more stressed than the meaning of a word

"The present king of France does not exist. The present king of France has no hair. The present king of France is not bald." Is not "the present king of France does not exist" a fallacy? You're are saying something about something that does not exist. I would say "There is no present king of France." And if there is no king of France, you can not say that he is or isn't anything.

@aytches,
You are not saying a thing about the present King of France, you are saying what is not the case.... not what is the case.
It is logically equivalent to saying "it is not the case that the present King of France is not bald"... which is no more fallacious than saying Elvis is not alive.
