SeaWorld took 10 Emperor Penguin chicks for 'research purposes', apparently to measure lung sack volumes.... so their own penguins weren't good enough?

It's laughable at best. Completely disgraceful, and obviously SeaWorld has no qualms about stepping into a nature reserve and taking helpless creatures from their homes - the very same animals that other groups spent so much money, time and effort attempting to rehabilitate back into the wild.

  • Very depressing news. And a very simple yet apt critique in the description bar.

If you don't mind, I'd like to quote your comment in every SeaWorld video on youtube.

How does Seaworld even fulfill their plans to capture wild animals despite the opposition from animal rights groups?

  • @veggiewarriors - They've already caught them and taken them back to the US. It's a disgrace.

  • @veggiewarriors - Oops, and yes - feel free to quote me if you want :)

  • I hope one day zoos and aquariums will be a thing of the past.

  • Oh no! Who do they think they are?! They need to get their shit together and re-evaluate themselves!

  • I agree it is a disgrace.

  • This is not good news at all. All animals deserve to live freely in the wild, unless they are in such a dire situation that they must be taken from it for medicinal reasons in the event of some disaster (e.g. like an oil spill).

I'm also concerned about what Seaworld are going to do when they lose Tilikum. They are having problems breeding orcas. Will that mean a return to taking killer whales from the wild? I'm not sure how they could ever get away with that, but I wouldn't put it past them.

  • This is damn disgusting.

  • This is very sad & very wrong! The parents will grieve for these babies & the poor babies lost their whole community! :( Thank you as always for raising Awareness. Much love, sweet spirit. <3

  • Merry xmad
