Phelous actually missed the retarded epilogue of this movie that came after the credits, and which had nothing to do with the fourth movie.

"Girl in purple leotard basically saying, 'Everyone saddle up and get ready for the battle of your lives.'" Which in no way implies anything to do with killing zombies (which I guess is what they were doing). By the way, they worked for umbrella. Also the chick doesn't show up in the fourth movie, making the scene even more impossibly pointless.

So just to recap, in addition to all the stuff Phelous mentioned, do they even bother explaining how the zombie apocalypse happened?

I take this movie as a sign that the characters from the game are better than Alice, she's a Mary Sue, and they prevented a zombie apocalypse while she just sat around letting men stare at her.

Generic, cliched zombie apocalypse movie with the rights to use the Resident Evil logo, select character's names and RE creatures...Yep..Pretty much sums up this movie. And the worst part is, I overheard some young guys say on the bus after they saw this movie at the theater was the only reason they saw it because that Milla was hot in it...ugh.

The actual title of the "Resident Evil" series should be, "Paul Anderson Thinks His Wife Is Really Really Hot And Awesome And You Should Too."

 it's really sad, but i think that the other characters can be badass too, but Paul W.S. Anderson thinks that only Alice should kick ass

Fucking Alice, worst character ever made, her purpose in these movies is just to give a boner to Anderson.
