15 seconds in you have Jack Thompson uttering a lie. Violence has been a virtue throughout human history...as long as it's in service of one's god, king or country. That the filmmakers are willing to use inflammatory remarks from a disgraced ambulance chaser shows that they are either cynical jerks or ignorant fools. Youth violence has has trended steadily DOWNWARDS as video games have become more pervasive and more graphically intense. I.e. violent video games REDUCE real world violence.
I don't mean the last sentence literally, but it's a heckuva lot more valid than the reverse claim. The correlation between more violence in games and less violence in the real world is irrefutable, but that is not sufficient evidence to claim a causal link.
The kids who did it played doom. Therfore video games must be their sole motive for shooting up a school. Fuck these guys, i doubt half of them have ever even played a video game. They make it sound like the amount of video game related crimes are off the charts, when in reality we only hear about them once and a while.
"We are what we pretend to be" Hm... so, I'm an Italian plumber, A green-clad elf, an anthropomorphic animal, a galactic Bounty Hunter, a smart-mouthed badass, a musclebound twat, a woman, and a legend of rock among other things... Yeah, no.
