The Christmas spirit in Monticello is dampened by Martha Marceau's trial for the murder of Taffy Simms and the recent gangland killing of Danny Micelli's beloved wife Babs. Contains the original 1974 commercials.

  • Great year 1974!!

  • Bernard Barrow!

When Laurie Ann said the Karr living room hadn't changed, she wasn't kidding!

I never knew Nancy's parents were on the show. Nancy looks like she has a few curlers left in her hair.

  • saynotoursoap . . . Thank you so much for posting this clip!! This is the best X-mas ever!! This brings back so much memories!! This is the sweetest gift, ever!! Please, keep up the good work!! God bless, and a happy 2012!! Also, today is the 27th anniversary of the cancellation of some of the finest daytime programming!!

  • This has been such a joy. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I grew up with these people! When you first loaded the video, I saw the picture and said aloud, "Oh, look! Mike and Nancy!" I had to explain to my husband what I was talking about. If there are any Ugly Betty fans reading this, did you catch when Claire went into hiding that she used the pseudonym "Brandy Shaloo"? I did, and I knew exactly where the name came from! I forgot how handsome Donald May was - Mom kinda crushed on him!

  • Actually, Edge went to tape a few months before the ABC move, at the same time ATWT did. The expansion of ATWT to an hour led to Edge's move to ABC.

  • So was EON the last soap to transition to video tape? If I recall, it aired live during it's entire CBS run but went to tape when it switched to ABC.

  • Thank you! Merry Christmas everyone!
