This Briggs and Stratton 8FB was given to me in not very good condition. It was stuck, had seriously damaged valves and terrible ignition parts, and was mounted to a pump that was also seized. After 4 straight hours of work, I got it unstuck, got a spark, replaced the valves, and got it running. What you see no is the engine running for the first time since it has been in my possession. The pump impeller is still on the engine. I took the main pump housing off.

That engine would be perfect for your mini bike. It looks like a rat rod engine lol. to bad you couldn't get the impeller off the crank.

@outdoorsman310 depends on the pump, some designs are lubricated with the water, such as rubber impeller designs, and some are no interference (like most trash pumps) and it makes no difference.

sounds good, is it bad to run a pump with no water if the pump housing is on?

i love model 8 briggs, im up to 4 now 1 is in really nice 100% original shape the other running one i built from the best parts of the other 3 engines for my rototiller and that needs a rebuild or replacement engine whatever happens first lol. my wisconsin ABN engine was stuck when i got it. it only took me approx 2hrs to get it free and running and it also had a pump impeller on it when i got it.
