From "Bill Evans at the Montreux Jazz Festival" (1968). Trio: Bill Evans - piano, Eddie Gomez - double bass, Jack DeJohnette - drums. The trio's performance on this album won the 1969 Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group. This song is a piano solo from the album.

  • There's another one, full of playbacks, marvelous, in "Further conversations with myself". I am a Billmaniac too hehehe... I watched he performing solo live here in Rio de Janeiro, in the 70's!

  • @markah22 That may be the case, but Denny Zeitlin definitely wrote the tune. Check out the video of Zeitlin playing it on Jazz Video Guy's YT channel. Really good stuff.
