I like the sound of it (especially at 0.47), reminds me of an old marine dieselengine=)

doesn't it react with the water as soon as the oxide layer is removed?
-
would a metal file be better or worse?
-
so.... what's the final cost of the powder?
-
doesn't it put the media in to the aluminium? If so, wouldn't it be bad to use as a flash base or r-candy base making friction when mixing the part A and B chems

@randyclar747 This method is a fast way to "sandpaper" the aluminuim to dust.
The water makes the aluminium not "fly away".
Ballmilling is only to make the powder smaller, ore when you ballmill aluminiumfoil you get the same result.

good setup and video

damn, I have just thought about the same setup..(with water I mean)..
Whats the difference between this and ball milling the aluminum, any real difference.? Plus I imagine you get hellifying dust in the air, inspite of the water in your pan. I did watch visit the gamekeeper sight by the way.

@randyclar747 there is no dust in the air. I don't know about ballmiling aluminium.

So ive got the machine mostly finished. Everything except the component that holds the metal as it grinds etc.
When i held the metal by hand for testing, i found that the powder clumps together. Is it because the particles are too big, and are forming clumps? Have you had any experience with this zijo3?

no?. maybe you have to coarse sandpaper, it's faster but particles are too big.
