Ebegging & Skepticism

I'm postiing this video as a response to CanadienAtheist's video -- however I'd like people to note that my understanding is after he watched Voodoosixx's & SnowWalkerPrime's videos and based on comments exchanges I've had with him he's had a change of heart on the subject.

That plus Prodigyat9 (someone whose opinion I trust on these things) swearing to me he's a stand-up guy leads me to say;

"I've no issue with CanadienAtheist."

For those curious I've raised just shy of $300 dollars. My cut-off for saying; "Oh well, it aint' going to happen" was at about $200. So it looks like I'm going to give this a go.

Thanks to all - after this if I haven't achieved the required goal of $1,500-$$2000 dollars (I'm basing that amount on the smallest grant I know about, a $2,000 dollar grant) then I'll likely be taking this fight off of YouTube.

You know, Pooka...THIS was not only a good idea, but an excellent video, with serious forethought into real world projects, regardless of any stance (be it "atheism", etc.). That you WANT to take your work, and do something with it, to expand it, and to say, "This is serious, I am serious...this is my work...come get some, or not, your choice, I will do it no matter what."...that is not too shabby, and pretty salty. The rest of YouTube might learn a thing or two.

Demagogue. I take poverty very serious and don't look at anyone's wealth when listening to their opinions or their proposals for projects. Still doesn't mean I have to donate to fund someones hobby. That being said, this video is much better than the other one. Despite still objecting to some of your rhetoric, you explained the why and how well taking away a lot of the negative feelings I had about the first vid I saw. Guess it's indeed about a lil more than just a hobby and there are logical

@DaithiDublin True. But that would be compromising my beliefs to get this done. And just because I'm asking for donations doesn't mean I have to put up with insults and stupid behavior.

I want to raise this money to do this project but I don't need to do this project to survive. I could always just focus on our own business and our own personal profit and say; "Let the rest of the world do what it does as long as I'm happy."

Next thing I'd be voting Republican and OH NOOOES!:P

@TheTruePooka Yes, to preemptively invalidate anyone is ridiculous. I'll give whatever support I can to any initiative supporting factual, non-biased education. And in that regard I'm behind you all the way. My only gripe (and this is just my opinion) is that on the one hand your original video wasn't informative enough and maybe brought on the doubters. Secondly, telling *anyone* to fuck off might impede you further in the eyes of potential grant boards, investors etc. Folks're judgemental!
