You're obviously retarded, if you didnt get the idea i was talking about the shitty video and how nothing happened. No one cares how long it took, its a plane, and a video, flying should follow but doesn't

@Bulgdoom I've really had enough of reading dumb, uninformed comments in the postings from people who know NOTHING about model aircraft.
This model took years to design and build. The process of getting a big, complicated machine to a state in which it can fly takes ages. Airframe/radio/engine tests/etc. This video is of JUST ONE of its engine tests. Video of it FLYING is elsewhere...

@gurubomb He knows how to balance it through years of experience. Shane has decades of modelflying behind him and he is an engineer by trade. You don't tackle a big, demanding and expensive project like this Lightning if you don't know what you're doing.

@tailwheelflier RIght-as you use the phrase "at our field" in your posting, I presume you're a modelflyer,right? Then how come you know nothing about the owner/builder/designer of Lightning?
For your information, Shane Harding is one of the UK's top model display pilots-have you never been to a model show???
Shane has been modelling for nearly 35 years, he's hugely talented and experienced and can fly literally everything. The video is of AN EARLY ENGINE TEST!
