What about picking up poisonous people. Over and over again........many ppl. return to either getting involved with toxic people. Or hanging out with them. And many of them are in the fellowship too. Thats a form of the insanity as well. We seek these ppl. out as lovers, friends, and sponsors even. I learned this too the hard way. People,places, and things. Can cause one to lose mental/emotional as well as physical sobriety.

@euroman32589 In the gospels Jesus drank wine but no where in scripture does it say to get shit faced. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit if you are a child in Christ. If you are not a child of Christ than the door to your heart is open to wicked spirits. We must constantly rebuke the enemy when the spirit of addiction begins to press on us.

My dad went to this rehab(very surprisingly) and before we got to 'hang' with him, as they say, we watch these Chalk Talks. They were great, taught me a lot, i really liked them.

went to father martins ashley in havre de grace. and it is honestly an awesome place. father martin passed about a year or so before i got there, but there are still so many great things about it.

calling AA a cult for men is a bit over the top...what about all of the many groups for women out there....led by women...attended only by women. I don't think that AA is totally without fault...any large organization is going to have its share of problems..but for some of us who can't afford expensive treatment, it's the only game in town...AA is what you make of it.
