Question: What is the state of the rape law in Canada. If someone makes an unfair accusation of any crime against you, do you not have to the right to fight it? How are you being slighted? There are pretty good tests these days that can help make a determination. If however, you are talking about the ambiguities of sexual relations (when is something consensual or not) or the whole idea of concensual sex and how it is defined within our social dynamic, there I think, you have wiggle room.

Sound Feminism is not about hating men or the male, but rather attempting to address and correct the social dynamic that has lead to women being treated as second class citizens throughout most cultures. Only for a short time, and primarily in the West have women's voices just begun to be heard on issues like these. It is no wonder that males, feeling their place usurped by this surge of modern critique, gnash their teeth and charge Feminists with all-consuming hate.

Most feminists don't want a dialogue towards true equality, they simply want to tactically stalemate or socially neuter men so that gender politics remains their domain exclusively. They don't want to listen or discuss, they want to dictate terms and spell out what rights men deserve to have; kind of like the way many women approach marriage and relationships. The narcissism never ceases to amaze me and is why I went from supporting feminism in the 80's and early 90's to my current stance.

Almost all rape victims are women, but almost all homicide victims are men. That fact alone means that men are victimized just as much as women. As for the rest of the stuff... I don't agree on some stuff but there's no point arguing about minor details. I agree with you that men's rights needs attention and that's what it really boils down to, I'm not against what you're trying to do so I'll just shut up and keep it to myself for once. =P

I thought all adults that are arrested can be reported in the media, so it's not really a special treatment in the law. Then again, I only studied grade 11 law and didn't pay too much attention in class. Any sort of accusation of crime to that extent sorta ruins a person's life.
