The instrumental was far and away better than the rap version. They used to mix this into everything. I still have this album around here somewhere.

Damn, this brings back so many memories. Growing up in Inglewood in the early 80's, this was the jam. Also, does anyone remember Uncle Jam's Army because they use to play the hell out of this classic!

I do not believe it. I have be look for this instrumental for about 10 years. Please tell me how I can purchase this version. I thought it was on the CD you posted but it's not. I only have a portion of this on tape from 1982.
