atx power supply 20 pin to 24 pin mod

A mod of making an old power supply to work fine with oun new mainboard
even if some plugs are missing
My english are terrible on the video. sorry guys .i am Greek . :) . But i tried my best .Hope to Help you somehow .even one positive reply will worth it .
I know abouth the 20 to 24 pin adapters on the market... i just make this myself for experimental reasons and for people want a super fast solution in case they are unable to find a ready adapter on the market..

  • @Kerlan It powers the pci-e slot so in theory if the slot is unused the board sould work with just the 20pins, although I've never attempted this.

  • @kerlan and crwl8: the extra 4 pins have been added to motherboards in the last 5 years to supply more current for THE SAME rail in the first 20 pins. discrete graphics are powered by connectors on the respective card.

  • additional 4 pins powers discreet grafix card

    what does the 4 pin off the 20+4 pin even do? is it needed??
