I did an acoustic cover before and since i got my new guitar I've been meaning to redo it with it.
This is the "proper" way to play it, used in the movies and (presumably) the recording. before I used a power chord version which doesn't require you moving up and down the neck so much.

  • would you be able to tell me the cords because ive started learning acoustic and only know G,C,E etc i really want to play this :')

  • @CullenBitchxX You need to bar chords really for the proper, rock-y version

Make an E shape using your middle, ring and pinky fingers and then use your index finger to bar the following frets sliding up and down (imagine the finger is the top of the guitar and keep E relative to that) 0=No barring

    0, 10, 3, 7 (main riff)

    7, 5, 2, 0 (Ohh no)

    4, 7, 4, 7, 10 (Take you up town etc.)

Barring takes a LOT of practice though. Took me ages to be able to do it without muting half the strings.

  • Was your camera tracking you? 0:02 - 0:06

  • @RobinScott93 Yeah, when in Widescreen mode my cam pan+scans to keep me in frame. Results in something a bit weird but haven't tried to turn it off yet.

  • Interesting version, digging the Les Paul. I got a cover on my channel, more like the movie, with guitar/bass/drums and vocals, check it out.

  • Your notes in your singing is completely wrong

  • you can't sing, but your guitar playing is very good :)

  • Sex Bob-Omb???? its beck you ass

  • Not bad, but your singing is a bit flat, and you should probably work on your chord transitions. Good effort though!

  • it looks like you can't sing to your full potential because you can't play with rhythm and sing at the same time because your singing is kind of flat.

  • Great lighting in the video
