Kelowna Bonzai Club. Bonzaic is the art of aesthetic miniaturization of trees by growing them in containers.
Overall, bonsai is a great interest, hobby or even profession to undertake. Although famous theologians have claimed that it is actually 90% art to a meager 10% of horticulture, it has to be said that a successful bonsai is most definitely a horticultural masterpiece.

  • Heh that's really good. I have trouble keeping just regular plants alive. They all know the term "drought".

  • Wow, some nice ones. I have collected bonsai for about 20 years. I have about 100. These folks have some really serious stuff. Do you guys collect?

  • No we don't. Geez Rodney you are into so many things. You seem to have such an interesting life going on. :) All good.

  • This music - the serial killer of bonsai.

  • Por favor saca la musica del video es horrible, seria diferente si pones alguna musica de ambiente o de relajacion pero esto mas te aturde que ottra cosa!

  • Music was obnoxious

  • Actually it is the grower that forces a smaller root system, by pruning the roots. How much the roots are pruned is purely a function of pot size, and pots are selected per my comment below.

  • Pot size is supposed to be part of the esthetic. As a rule, the width of the bonsai pot should equal two thirds the height of the tree, and the depth should equal the width of the tree's trunk base. Shape of the pot should coordinate with the visual strength of the tree.

  • hehe is true, is very creepy...

  • there are a few reasons why they don't grow big. Trimming the plant correctly forces a redistribution of plant hormones that changes the growth patterns. With enough trimming, the plant is forced to grow small branches and small leaves. As for the small pot, it forces a smaller root system.

  • so they dont grow big

  • anyone why do they use the small pots for the plants instead of the bigger pots
