I'm ashamed that 1,482 people blighted my town by voting for Roy Goodwin in the last election. Never mind the fact that this country fought wholeheartedly - and rightly - against fascism in the second world war, Blackpool itself has survived since Victorian times by welcoming people. The BNP's policies are completely at odds with the ethos of the town.

Go inland. The inbreds there will welcome you with open six-fingered arms.

so what is england or britain? what does it mean to british? is britishness the same for someone living in bristol as it is in southshields? no its not, its a set of lines drawn on a map, strung together by a vague sense of collective culture. if you want to judge people, judge them on their worth to society. Guess what, there are a LOT of people who call themselves 'british' or 'english' who do precisely nothing to better our society. britain isn't broken, it was never a whole to begin with.
