  • Are you playing quarter notes on the bass drum mostly throughout the piece? ive tried this piece and its very difficult! You play it awesome!

  • @MrMatty003 thank you very much for the kind words. Im not really playing straight quarter notes on the bass drum. I know what you are talking about though, that approach is more so applied to swing/big band styles. This is more in the straight ahead/be bop idiom where the bass drum is more syncopated (broken up)
