  • I always enjoy your videos Jim... it's really interesting to be able to walk with you in Japan and see a part of your culture. Would you mind translating what that woman's voice is saying through the speakers around 5:26... just out of curiosity

  • thanks for your kind words.

What you heard was the 3:00 announcement, "Lets save our children's smiles."

  • 5:38 - I would like it to be public!

8:25 - Many areas of Chicago are looking like that right now...I did not expect to see land like that in Japan.

And thank you for doing what no one else would do! You have made an obsessed Canadian happy today!

  • It is great that you went into an area of Japan that people would not normally tape, let alone travel into. I'm pretty sure there are no other Japanese public housing videos on Youtube.

Furthermore, you caught this project at an amazing time: during its gentrification! It's happening everywhere around the world right now; all of the old 50's/60's style public housing is being razed for the new style. But where are the people going in the process. You see buildings demolished but not created...

  • That's a really nice message. Thanks for the translation :)

  • Thank you for this video, you should post more.
