Well, Steve Silvia replied to my previous comment saying that some of the stories are songs and poems. He compared it to Romeo and Juliette.

Ok Steve, I'll accept that. But where do you draw the line between the stories and the laws of life? You can't tell me the bible is a guide for living and should be law in one breathe and turn around and say the parts you don't like are just... "moral stories" or something.

A short perusal of the old testament shows he doesn't give a shit about humans. It's not until the new testament that he seems to give a damn. How many people does he kill or force to kill others? How many foreskin does he demand as tribute... or animal sacrifices? Human sacrifices?

If you loved your child, would you ask him to go out into the world and cut people's dicks off...? Would you ask him to kill his son?

We all believe in the Christ so everyone concerned, stop insulting each other's religion. After all all churches were put up by men they way they understood it to be. What matters is we all believe there is a most powerful being loving and caring for all of us. Jesus loves all his creations including those who do not believe in his Being.
