I believe it was Ostad Houshan Zarif whw was Ostad Alizadeh's teacher and discovered him as a new talent on Tar.

I just wanted to make it clear that Ostad Alizadeh was not Ostad Lotfi's student.

I for one don't like some of Ostad Lotfi's comments about the experiments some of our younger musicians are doing and the way he condemns any tampering with the fabric of Iranian music. But every musician is entitled to his own opinion. AS for his music I like some of his work and dislike some other however that does not make him any less of a musician and I am sure a legend tomorrow. I always remember him as the person who help introduce Ostad Alizade to the World.
