yeah your right.. emo now is too asociated with musicians that DONT play hardcore punk... like fugazi, rites of spring, and embrace are typically that bands that started this "brand" of music... notably.

Erika is an old friend of ATDI. She used to be in a band called Diamonds into Coal, both bands played a show with Earth Crisis in the early 90's. During EC's set, Erika, along w/ others, locked arms in the front of the stage & called them out for inciting violence in the scene, amongst other things. She was at this show, hence the shout out from Cedric.

@raiders545 Not true, the two girls who died and who this song is about are Laura Beard and Sarah Reiser, formerly in the band "The Fall on Deaf Ears" with Cedric. Cedric dedicated this performance of the song to Erica, but the song was not written about her. I don't think anybody knows who Erica is unless they know her or know the band.

@DamnationDude12 ...is under a beanie. This was when he was growing the fro out. Saw them on a tour around this time with Jimmy Eat World. Great time in music history!
