1976 Dodge 360 Start / Run

This is actually a 1976 360 I bought from a friend to shoehorn into my 1960 D-600 dumptruck. The original 318 polysphere was internally cracked, so I needed a different engine for the truck. You can see me shoot holes in the old 318 block in another of my videos.

@Mopar4life1995 Easy- put gas in the carb bowls, squirt a little down the throat for prime, put 12 volts to the ignition, and put 12 volts to the starter solenoid to crank it. Oh- make sure it's blocked up so it doesn't tip over LOL

@TheDale1962 Blue = oil....... black = rich....... Engine had sat for I dunno how long before I got it......so yah it burned a little oil.....

how does that starter smell?bout burnt it up cranking that long,plus id say the timing needs advanced alil bit.

@TheFordshaker Nah it's not a ford starter so it can take the heat....... Still works perfectly.... And the timing is right on......

@farmall1938 You videos are great. Between this and your '54 Ford video, I can relive all the sounds of my youth with these cars. Nothing sounds like a Chrysler gear deduction starter! The harder to start, the better they sound.

lol be careful doing that! my dad did this with our lawnmower and it backfired while he was pouring ran all the way up to the bottle POOOF!!! he comes runnin outta the shed stop drop and roll! hahaha! after that we just laughed

Good ole gear reduction starter. Crank all day and not really hurt them.

i love the sound of the dodge starters and the engine. and every one needs to quit fighting over the American companies and go after Toyota and Nissan for making trucks that are taking over GM, Chrysler, Ford!
