  • @IBloodSweatTears If a zillion was after a billion instead of trillion Bi = 2.... TRI = 3... QUAD = 4... than we wouldn't call a triangle a triangle, we would call it a ziangle... and that isn't right at all. it's trillion.

  • @daberko120ch Well from my understanding a Zillion is a number followed by billion. And considering that Wal-Mart is an 426 billion dollar company, I'm sure with there growth they can rich it one day.

  • @IBloodSweatTears nothing on earth would reach 1 zillion in dollars... haha, It goes (from least to greatest): million, billion, trillion, quadrillion, quintillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, nonillion, decillion, undecillion, duodecillion) Each one from left to right is multiplied 1 thousand times (ex: 1 million times 1 thousand = 1 billion etc.) Scientists have not yet clarified zillion as a number, zillion is a synonym for a lot.

  • I live in a city of around 18 thousand, and there used to be like 15 stores similar to wal-mart with unique things to buy... know there is only 6 stores to get stuff at... wierd...

  • @ranelproductions And look at how much more room is left in the mid west for walmart, Not the mention there growth in china (Which is home too 1.6 billion people). Walmart will ben the U.S's first 500 billion dollar company, And, another 25-40 years & they will be a zillion dollar company. (As much as it pains me to say that)

  • @ranelproductions Filling 1 market up before moving on too the next proved to be a much better growth strategy then Targets, Hopscotch around the country & build in towns with 100,000 or more people strategy. As a result wal-mart has nearly 6000 more stores as of 2010. Although i personally do not like Wal-mart. There growth was much better & smarter then Targets. For walmart to have higher revenues then the next 6 retailers combined is unconceivable.

  • @ranelproductions Target's growth was very different from Wal-Marts. Although they both began in the same year, Wal-marts strategy was much more effective. Target began in Minnesota After building just 3 stores there within there first 6 years, they went into far markets & build 2 stores in Texas & Missouri. Wal-mart on the other hand saturated the surrounding states (Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, And Nebraska) with stores, Remember Wal-mart started in Arkansas.

  • What about Target?

  • I don't really know what to think about Wal-Mart. I went to a business college in Iowa, and every professor I had spoke of what Wal-Mart has done /is doing. While I don't like the fact that they are incredibly bull-headed when it comes to negotiations, we cannot deny they are a major component behind globalization. I don't like their hiring /promoting practices, but their SCM is a keystone for any firm seeking to expand in a global market. UPS, FedEx, Redbull, etc. all took notes from WM.

  • @conrebbi The National Guard in many states have formal plans to take control over Wal-Mart stores in the event of a national disaster. All Wal-Marts in those states would become property of the state or possibly the federal government through FEMA.

The Walton family has their own military base with concertina wire and 24/7 armed guards. They're prepared for something.
