u need a diffferent module i believe....... it only plays music. If u want to lets say watch a movie or play a game from ur iphone/ipod directly to ur car stereo screen then u definitely need a module specifically for ipods/iphone. Its over $100 btu well worth it
No. With an ipod, it boots in about 5-8 seconds regardless of how much stuff you have on it, as the ipod has an indexing system the Pioneer communicates with. I am referring to a USB mass storage device, such as a hard drive, flash drive, etc. The Pioneer re-indexs the drive every time you turn on the car or switch sources back to it, taking about a minute per 16GB. They advertise up to 250GB supported, so imagine waiting 15 minutes every time you start your car to hear music. Ridiculous!

An interesting comment on a unit that takes 1 minute and 5 seconds to start playing from a USB hard drive with 17GB of mp3s on it...
I have the unit and love it, other than it's LONG boot up times when you have a lot of music on a USB device. I mean LONG!!! Please fix this with firmware pioneer!
LOL OMG the future of technology (face_plain)
