It's tragic. With onboard video only, I've been reduced to playing Guild Wars, Mount & Blade and Warcraft 3. :|
If I were to make a list now, I would probably replace ME with ME2. Dragon Age might dethrone The Witcher, but I'm not sure about that.

@LibertyIsNotGiven That's sad. Do you think of 're-doing' this video?
-
Yeah, I have DA:O and Awakening. Recently lost my video card in a service neutral failure, so I didn't get around to the expansion, but the core game is fantastic. I had a couple of mods in progress as well, which were also derailed by the video card loss.

@LibertyIsNotGiven I personally thought it was a better game as well. But I definitely agree with you on the economy. I think a lot of things they really dumbed down, for example the levelling system. Just wondering have you played Dragon Age: Origins? I think it might be a game you'll enjoy.

There are "true games" that aren't FPS, believe it or not.

I would say that ME2 is generally "better." My main problem is how they dumbed-down the economy. ME1 could turn your inventory into a mess, yeah, but instead of fixing this, they pretty much removed the economy altogether. Now you have this planet-mining grind for upgrade resources, which is OK but gets old fast, and there aren't enough explorable worlds to always make it interesting.
Combat in ME2 is much improved, IMO, and I think the characters are a little more engaging.

@LibertyIsNotGiven I've not played The Witcher, I'll definitely check it out. Have you played Mass Effect 2 yet and if so how would you say it compares to the original?
Are you planning on purchasing a new one?

Yes, definitely. Want an HD 5970, but I'll likely settle on a 5870 (Sapphire Vapor-X, for cooling w/ low noise). Could replace the smoked 4870x2 for much less, but I just can't justify spending if it's not an upgrade.
