This song is based on a song performed by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in one of their old movies. It has words."..Do the Carioca, it's not a tango or a polka..." The dance was performed with the couples forheads touching, but not hands. Weird.

When this record came out in 1962,BBC jocky Brian Mathews said that if it were Duanne Eddys' name on the label,this song would reach #1...thanks for the post.
