  • Heriberto, lo has clavado.

  • His music has such human warmth and epic scope...He would have made the right kind of music for a film version of the Wheel of Time, as he did so perfectly for the Conan stories

  • your the best BASIL

  • Polydouris....born in Kansas City, Missouri, Basil Poledouris credited two influences with guiding him towards music: the first was composer Miklós Rózsa, the second was his Greek Orthodox heritage(wikiredia). Can you understand the word HERITAGE ??

  • @serreosoo8 I am simply an American. A long time ago my family came from Wales. By the definition of the word "native" I am a native American. I was born here. The ancestors of American indians also came from Europe, 50,000 to 75,000 years ago across the Bering land bridge. How many generations do you have to be here before you are an American? NONE!! if you are born here, you are an American, and hyphenations can be damned. I'm an American. So was Poledouris.

  • @0manoscar We returned home (where my forefathers lived for 3-50 milleniums) when I was 6, so I remember only few things...

But this is not the issue dude!

What kind of American are you?

An Africanamerican? A Wasp? Latino? Irishamerican? Italianamerican?Or somekind from the other 200 racial differentations that there are (if you can trace your ancestry, if not you'll become an Anglophiliac)!

Unless you are a Native you are not just an American...

So was Basil, a Greekamerican and that's all!

  • @ERIKEPAIOS American man, not greek.

  • @serreosoo8 It all makes sense now. Judging by your spelling and grammar, I thought that perhaps you were actually greek and English was your second language. Turns out you just went to school in Chicago. I know your kind. You have very little sense of self-worth, so you seek group affiliation based upon the birthplace of your ancestors. Unfortunately, whether you like it or not, you are a product of the American experience. Therefore, you are American, not greek.

  • @0manoscar "Greece has very little to be proud of" so we highjack Basilis "Basil" Konstantinos Poledouris who has no affiliation with Greece....

Well what can I say, other than get some help and who knows after years of therapy you might get better!

    God bless.

P.S. I was born in Chicago but mysteriously I feel 1000% Greek!

I wonder why, perhaps because of my PARENTS! LOL

  • @serreosoo8 My point is to raise a question in response to your statement that "He was a credit....to Greece....". My question is: how can he be a credit to Greece when he was an American who had no affiliation with Greece? Basil Poledouris was not greek. I realize that Greece has very little to be proud of, but don't try to claim the achievements of Americans as your own based upon name etymology.

  • @0manoscar Usually (for planet earth) when your parents are, say, Americans the fact that you born in Nigeria doesn't make you a Nigerian, or does it?

This is not the page for dispute, yes Basil Poledouris was an American as are the pretzels or hamburgers that ate last week!

Their names are German but what the hell, it were cooked in the States!
