Birmingham, UK, 1978: Duran Duran are formed by John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Stephen Duffy.

They start writing songs and performing live for almost a year, when Duffy leaves the band and Duran Duran jump to stardom.

Twenty years later the former singer came across an old tape recording of a show. Shortly afterwards, Rhodes and Duffy met by chance at a fashion show, and began talking about the old music and decided it might be fun to re-record some of those original, dark, art-school, pre-Le Bon tracks.

The Devils is their incarnation, and Dark Circles the resulting album, created with vintage analog instruments but modern production techniques, while lyrics remained unchanged.

This promo video snippet for Big Store features a different song version and is produced by Gary Oldknow.

  • Nick is so brilliant and so adorable. Why the heck do John and Simon get all the love????

  • Nick was my favorite member of Duran, and Stephen was one of my favorite artists of the 80s...so it goes without saying that I love this!
