This is Carl Bachhuber's giant scale radio controlled B-36b Peacemaker's first flight. The first flight took place at Wellnitz field in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The flying field belongs to the Fond du Lac Aeromodeler Association (FDLAA) who sponsors the Warbirds and Classics Over the Midwest giant scale fly-in every August.

Too bad the wind storm put it out of commission for Sunday! I was there on Sun. and heard about this and was bummed I missed it. The BIG C-119 was cool though!

Great modeling and piloting! I followed the progress of this bird as it became posted periodically. I am glad to see someone else with similar interest in the B-36.

I've got a special place in my mind for the B-36, my dad worked on them back when they were making them in FT. Worth, TX. He worked in the cockpit putting the yokes and rudder pedals in I beileve. Sure wish there was a flying real one or two left.

Very, very cool! But *please* get a tripod for the camera or at least have your rolling credit at the start over a still of the plane sitting on the grass.

Great job, will it be at the Muncie warbird fly-in??
Also dag214 here on youtube has a 21' B-36D he is building. They say it will be the largest B-36 in the world, and the largest electric RC plane. Cheers.

I put together a Top Flite B-25 ARF which took me forever. I cant even imagine the amount of work that must have gone into this baby. I hope to see it in August. Thanks for posting!
