  • should rephrase "counsel women about the risk of pregnancy"...lol...doesn't sound like that's what u want to say!

  • I I've taken all of the drugs mentioned. One thing about phenobarbital is that the baby can be born addicted to it. Phenytoin causes webbed finger sand toes quite often. I was told that my son was going to have webbed fingers and toes and a cleft pallet. They didn't tell me that until I was 5 months pregnant because they wanted me to not get upset. I was angry and quit the meds.. My son was fine when he was born

  • Valproic should be avoided, incidence of embroypathy during 1st trimester:

phenytoin 21%, phenobarbital 27%, CARBAMAZEPINE 14%, IT MAKES SENSE IF CABAMAZEPINE IS DOC. The key is mono therapy and regularly monitor of blood drug levels.

  • carbamazipine is contraindication for pregnant woman because it is teratogenic so we give them phenobarbital as drug of choice in pregnancy.

  • is the book for all of that schemes came yet ??
