1. Download Metamod: Source

2. Extract the package to your game folder. For example, for Counter-Strike:Source, you would have cstrike/addons/metamod after extracting. If you are uploading to FTP, extract the files locally before transferring to your server's game folder.

3. make your metamod.vdf file. Once finished place the file in the addons folder

4. Download source mod and place the files to your cstrike folder.

5. Download cssdm and place the files to your ctrike folder too.

6. Edit the config files in cfg/cssdm to your liking. They are self-explanatory. do not edit cssdm.weapons.txt [important!]

7. Restart/start your server. And you are done

8. if you want to check if you installed it correctly type in these cvars in server console:
Meta version
Meta list
Without the ( )
If you have installed it correctly you should see something like this:

Ok. I don't know why but when I generate my vdf I keep getting the linux version. I cant choose my operating system too. I think thats the only problem stopping me...

@jdkoz98 ehh to make a css server you just download the source dedicated server on steam under the tools tab. you dont really need anything else than that to play on your server, this is just a fun mod

Ok well i install it fine and it has no error's when i try to run my server it comes up all fine to create it but then after that the server dosent start up it dosent crash more som it just quits

can you just play this with bots and then select your guns by using the numbers, (i used to do that around my friends house coz i didnt have it but im getting a computer for christmas :D) although it was always playing with other ppl, am I able to cut the server off to everyone else and play by myself? Thanks for the video :)

ok first of all, to get to my cstrike folder it goes "C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\St­eamapps\Username\counter-strik­e:source\cstrike. There is no addons folder here. and even if i do pt csdm in here, how do i ACTIVATE it in cs source?!?!?!?!?!
