A tail of identity

We spend much of our lives trying to "find ourselves" within the realms of what we know, but do we ever stop to consider that our identity may lie outside of our experience? Our identity serves to distinguish us from others but it also connects us to people who see themselves in the same way. Three people reveal how displaying their identity in an unexpected way has freed them to be who they really are. Is it possible that putting on a mask could allow someone to let their true self emerge?

wow i took a look at this chart and i am all over it! lol i don't do comics or star treck but i do do fan fics, japanimation, video games, and i'm a furry. i'm like an ultra super mega geek! oh well whatever at least i don't do drugs smoke drink or kill people!

@Mist3986 I've been to several conventions, and there's a pretty wide range of ages. A lot of the first-timers, con virgins as they tend to be called, are 16-17, and full of energy and want to hug all the fursuiters. Fursuiters tend to be a bit older due to the financial necessity of buying a fursuit. I owned my home before I owned a fursuit, but it's something I've wanted since I was a con virgin several years ago. Those who have been in the fandom for a long time could be in their 50s or 60s.

@Turtluver4u It would be very fragile....get some thick fabric. It will be hotter, but you have to weigh durability against comfort and find what works best for you.

@LuigisFantastico don't hate. There are always going to be lifestylers in any group of geekdom. We're not lifestylers, but we shouldn't hate on those who are. They find the means in which to reach their status.

Ahh I so know what thy mean. I was told tht you become what u hang out with. But I found out about furries accidently on youtube. And love it. So I know its just wat I am! :3 furry for lifee
