NASA Langley dedicates new green building

NASA Langley Research Center goes platinum. That's the status of the new headquarters building, according to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
The $26 million, 72,000 square-foot (6,689 sq m) facility that will hold approximately 240 employees from six different NASA Langley staffs is the first large office building built here in 35 years. It's part of an ongoing multi-year facility improvement project and revitalization.
