Lie To Me - Dark Merlin & HP (for tigerlily536)

It's FINISHED! First off, a big thanks to everyone for voting on a style...it was helpful to know what the majority of you liked. I was surprised by the amounts of responses, so thank you!

ABSTRACT: Voldermort needs someone who is close to Harry to bring him to him, that's where Merlin comes in. Morgana and Voldermort both put him under the imperious curse, but something happens that neither of them had anticipated...the spell wears off and Merlin ends up helping Harry escape Voldermort's grasp.

DETAILED STORY (this isn't in chronological order...so I hope the way I outlined the video will help in understanding the story)

The beginning is actually what happens after the end of the video where Voldermort realizes that Merlin is the reason Harry survived (0:06-0:12)

Voldermort is getting desperate, and he needs someone close to Harry in order to make his plans work. That's where Merlin comes in. Morgana is Voldermorts' most trusted ally, who helps by using the imperious curse on Merlin (0:13-0:21)

Harry attends the quidditch world cup before the new year at Hogwarts where Merlin accidentally shows himself as one of Voldermorts' followers. Harry is unsure if it's Merlin, after all how could it be his best friend. He waits to confront Merlin until he arrives at Hogwarts, but before Harry has the chance Merlin takes that memory away from him in order to conceal his identity (0:42-0:57)

On the night of their arrival at Hogwarts, it's announced that the tri-wizard tournament will be at Hogwarts this year. The plan is falling into place; that night when everyone is asleep Merlin goes to the cup and puts in Harrys' name...casting a spell on it to make sure he would be a tri-wizard champion, and he is (0:21-0:31)

Something happened, that neither Morgana nor Voldermort had forseen...Merlin was starting to feel regret of his actions: the spell was weakening. Morgana and Voldermort both realize the change in Merlin, why was their spell not working? When Merlin hears Harry talking to Sirius and mention that whoever put his name in the Goblet was no friend of his, it jogged his memory...he was his friend, why would he do that to his friend? (1:01-1:24)

Harry remembers the memory Merlin had taken away, and realizes that it was Merlin who had put his name in the Goblet. He no longer wants to be Merlin's friend. This happens after the maze (1:25-1:31)

Merlin confronts Harry in the maze and takes him to the graveyard to Voldermort. While Voldermort and Harry duel, the spell finally breaks and Merlin distracts Voldermort so Harry can make an escape (1:30-1:47)


This is for Whitney (tigerlily) who asked for a crossover video in her wishlist. I love crossovers, and so when I read your wishlist I saw it as a golden opportunity to come up with a new pairing and that's how this was born. Hope you have a wonderful and safe Christmas a New Years hun!

Wow. This is really amazing. I can't believe how well you meshed all the scenes together. It honestly felt as if Merlin was stalking Harry. And that Voldy and Morgana were in on it together. Seriously. This is something incredible. I'm usually wary of crossovers of this nature due to the time difference, but you really did put everything seamlessly together. And the story was so believable as well. Really... I must applaud you for this.
