This is a video of the Cincinnati (CVG) National Weather Service radar display from April 3, 1988 (6:56 PM EDT). It was broadcast on Warner Cable channel 22 in the Cincinnati area. The radar unit was a WSR-57.
The cable system in Bismarck, ND (BIS) back in the mid-to-late 80s had a weather radar channel that looked exactly like this (with the exception of the map being for Bismarck and the surrounding area, of course), even simulcasting the local NOAA Weatherradio as well for the audio. Sometime in the early 1990s, the cable company upgraded to a newer radar dispaly system....
