Simple Minds - Premonition Live October 24th 1979 in Hurrah's Club, New York City. Format NOT stretched - it's real 16:9.
The Hurrah Club was a focal point for both local and out-of-town acts who trod the boards of the club in a potent time for the post-punk and new wave scene.
Youtube-User ''Toptonychick'' had a Interview, a few hours filmed before this gig, see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YX_qUWT0AM

  • It's such a shame that most people will remember Simple Minds for their blowhard 80's stadium rtock than for groundbreaking brilliant stuff like this.

Real to Real through New Gold Dream is dead set classic....then they just totally lost the plot. WTF happened you guys?!?!?

  • I hAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG....

  • Amazing video. What you have done to the sound is superb. I have played this and Factory back many times. If only there was a full concert like this.

  • Wish they'd tour some classic early albums.I aint paying for all that later sing-a-long shit. S&F/SFC,now that would be special.

  • Glad I know this song . It mades my vison of music more inspirated to listen and breaking new horizons.Leavels of extasions. SM is for ever.

  • @Bencrf123 Everyone Should!!! I had no idea how awesome they were until hearing this song. I always just associated the Minds with their 1985 era releases that I'd heard my parents listening to when I was a kid.

  • @Lalo3001 Check out Mick McNeil's take on this song. Awesome!!!!!!! Mick McNeil Sons Of Dan
